Will the XS2 Aluminium Self Propelled suit you?
Choose the XS2 Self Propelled if you like to get about under your own steam but want a chair a partner can lift into the car. The aluminium frame keeps weight down, the large rear wheels are yours to push, and long-reach brakes sit close to hand. A seat cushion, lap belt and reflectors are all included.
With 16, 18 and 20 inch seats to choose from, a few minutes sitting in each tells you more than a tape measure. Visit a showroom, practise folding it and taking the arms off, and check the handle height suits your helper. Phone ahead and we will get the right width ready.

The XS2 Aluminium Self Propelled in detail
Three seat widths, one light aluminium frame. The XS2 Self Propelled follows on from Drive's XS wheelchair, sharing a similar frame and gaining a lap belt, reflectors and push-button armrest adjustment.

Made to pack away
Fold the frame, drop the top half of the backrest, lift off the arms and unclip the quick-release footrests. What remains is slim enough for most car boots.
Adjusting it to you
The armrest pads slide forwards or back at the press of a button, and the footrests swing aside so you can stand up without obstruction. Anti-tip wheels are built into the rear stepper tubes, which steady the chair on a kerb whether you are on your own or with a helper.
