Will the Travelux Tiempo suit you?
A friendly first scooter for the shops, the park path and days out by car. The controls are simple, the seat swivels and adjusts, and the wraparound tiller works with either hand, so left-handers are as comfortable as right-handers. It travels at up to 4 mph for up to 10 miles a charge, plenty for a morning in town and back. For the car it comes apart into five pieces, each with its own lifting handle, and the heaviest is 16.5 kg, a little lighter than a packed holiday suitcase.

Steering and controls
The redesigned delta tiller wraps round so you can hold it wherever is comfortable and drive with your left hand, your right, or both. That takes strain off the wrists and keeps the controls easy to learn, which is why we often suggest the Tiempo to first-time riders.
Lighting
The front lamp is now LED, so it is brighter, uses less power and the bulb lasts longer.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No. A 4 mph pavement scooter needs no licence, no tax and no registration. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
