Will the Silver Sport Self Propelled suit you?
The Silver Sport suits someone who wants to push themselves some of the time and be pushed at others. Its 24 inch rear wheels have light handrims, and the push handles and kerb steppers are there for a helper. The steel frame feels solid and planted indoors and out, and the solid tyres never need pumping up.
Seat fit matters with any wheelchair, so come and sit in one at a North West showroom. Try folding it and reaching the brakes, ideally with the person who will be pushing. Call ahead on 0800 169 1910 and we will have one ready for you.

The Silver Sport Self Propelled in detail
A steel self-propel chair with a smart silver finish. Drive built the Silver Sport on a traditional steel frame, then added moulded mag wheels and a silver vein paint finish, so it looks as tidy as it feels sturdy. It is at home indoors and outdoors.
What you get
- 61 cm (24 inch) rear mag wheels, with handrims in light plastic so you can propel yourself
- Solid tyres that cannot puncture and need very little looking after
- Parking brakes on the rear wheels that both the user and a helper can reach
- Padded armrests that wipe clean
- Nylon seat and back upholstery that is hard-wearing and simple to keep clean
- A pocket on the backrest for bits and pieces
Getting in, out and up kerbs
The footrests adjust in height to suit leg length and swing out of the way, so you can stand up or sit down without stepping over them. Tubes at the rear of the frame give a helper somewhere to press a foot, which tips the front wheels up and over a kerb.
Folding and transport
The frame folds for storage or the car, and the footrests lift off to make a smaller package. Our own engineers look after the 12-month warranty, and they service and repair wheelchairs too.
