Will the S-Mart AeroLite suit you?
If lifting is your main worry, the S-Mart AeroLite is made for you. It comes apart in seconds and the heaviest part is under 10 kg, with a handle at the back and a grab bar at the front so each piece is easy to hold. Put together it is slim, turns in a 125 cm circle for shop aisles, and has suspension all round for bumpy pavements. The 10.3 Ah lithium battery gives up to 6.8 miles, fine for the shops and back, and a 17 Ah pack is offered too.

Getting on and off
The padded seat turns through 360 degrees and lifts off, and the armrests flip up, adjust or come away completely, so you can get on from whichever side is easier. Soft mats give a little extra comfort under your feet.
In the car
The front section measures 89 x 42 x 37.5 cm and the rear 49.5 x 31 x 26 cm. The front bar doubles as a bumper for the bodywork. There is a removable front basket for shopping, a simple analogue display and a metallic paint finish. Our showrooms across the North West can show you how it splits and goes back together, so call ahead and we will have one ready.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No. A 4 mph pavement scooter needs no licence, no tax and no registration. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
