Will the AutoFold Elite suit you?
The AutoFold Elite is a travel scooter that opens and folds by remote control in less than 15 seconds. Folded, it measures 64 x 45 x 45 cm and weighs 27 kg in total, so it suits car boots and cupboards at home. This version adds suspension for a softer ride, and for trips abroad the batteries are a type airlines often accept, so check with your airline first. It travels at 4 mph for up to 9 miles and takes riders up to 18 stone.

A self-folding scooter with a softer ride. Drive added suspension to the AutoFold Elite, so a scooter made for travel is also comfortable on everyday pavements. It comes in metallic silver with matching wheel hubs.

Handlebars that are kind to hands
The delta tiller wraps round in a loop, so you can rest your wrists on it and steer with whichever hand is more comfortable. It adjusts for height, and carries a backlit LCD screen plus an LED headlight. The folding fob comes with the scooter.
Safety built in
Speed drops automatically on bends, the footwell has a non-slip carpet and an auto-stop function is built in. You can concentrate on where you are going.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No. A 4 mph pavement scooter needs no licence, no tax and no registration. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
