Every new product comes with a 12-month warranty, in addition to your legal rights.

  • If something goes wrong, call us first on 0800 169 1910 and we will advise on the quickest fix.
  • We collect, repair and return it free of charge anywhere in mainland UK. We aim to collect within 7 days.
  • Repair or replacement, whichever puts it right.

Not covered: misuse, accidental damage, water getting in, or repairs attempted by anyone else (a £79 call-out applies to non-warranty visits). A few remote postcodes carry a £79 collection surcharge. The warranty stays with the original buyer.

  • Delivered to the kerbside between 9am and 6pm
  • Left at your door: the courier does not bring it in or assemble it
  • Arrives boxed, ready for you to put together

Smaller items: free delivery on orders over £50, otherwise £3.95. You choose at checkout.

Our own qualified engineers look after what we sell. We recommend a service once a year to catch problems early and keep it running well.

  • At a showroom: drop it in for a full service or a quick check. Collect it when it is ready, or we can bring it back to you.

Who qualifies for VAT relief?

You pay the lower price if both of these are true:

  • the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability, and
  • it is for their own personal or domestic use.

That covers a lasting physical or mental condition that affects everyday life, a condition doctors treat as chronic (such as diabetes or arthritis), or a terminal illness. You do not need to be registered disabled and you do not need a doctor's letter. Being older, or a short-term injury, does not count on its own.

What you do: nothing now. In your cart we ask once, and you complete a short declaration. A family member or carer can do it on someone's behalf.

Will the S1 Transit Wheelchair suit you?

The S1 Transit is a dependable chair for being pushed by a companion, indoors or out. Its steel frame feels planted and stable, the solid tyres never need pumping up, and the vinyl seat wipes clean after a wet day. A calf strap comes as standard for extra leg support.

A chair should fit the person in it, so visit a showroom and sit in the S1 to check the width. Your helper can try the parking brakes and stepper tubes, then fold the chair and lift it to get a proper feel for it. Give us a ring beforehand and we will have one out for you.

The S1 Transit Wheelchair in detail

A sturdy steel transit chair with touches usually kept for higher-spec models. Solid tyres all round and height adjustable footrests are the two that owners notice most, and both come as standard on the S1 from Drive.

What you get

  • 32cm (12.5 inch) rear wheels that make the chair easier for an attendant to steer
  • Puncture-proof polyurethane tyres front and back, needing very little upkeep
  • Vinyl upholstery and padded armrests that wipe clean

  • Rear stepper tubes to help the attendant up a kerb

Footrests that adapt

The plastic footrests adjust in height to suit the user. They swing aside to clear the way when sitting down or standing up, and lift off completely for storage.

Folding and transport

The frame folds for the car or a cupboard, and with the footrests removed it takes up less room still.
