Will the S1 Self Propelled Wheelchair suit you?
Choose the self propelled S1 if you want to wheel yourself when you feel like it and be pushed when you do not. Large rear mag wheels give you that independence, and the parking brakes can be reached by you or by a helper. The steel frame, solid tyres and wipe-clean vinyl keep upkeep simple.
Sitting in the chair is the real test of seat width, so call in at a showroom and try propelling and turning it. It is worth folding and lifting it too, and checking it suits whoever may push. Tell us you are coming and we will have one ready.

Big rear mag wheels put the user in charge. This version of Drive's S1 is for people who like to move under their own steam around the house, the garden or the shops, with stepper tubes and brakes a helper can use when a push is welcome.

Adjustment
Footrest height is simple to alter, which lets you set your legs at a comfortable level. The footrests also swing away when you are getting in or out, or come off altogether.
Folding and transport
The S1 folds easily. Take the footrests off first and it stores neatly in a car boot or behind a door.
