A full-size road scooter with a sporty look, the Colt Sport 2.0 suits someone covering real distance who wants comfort. Suspension front and rear, and a sprung seat post, work with a memory foam seat to calm rough pavements and lanes. It reaches 8 mph, covers up to 21 miles between charges and takes riders up to 25 stone. It stays in one piece and lives in a garage or shed.
It is road legal, and registering it with the DVLA is something we do for you. Sit on one at your nearest ScootaMart showroom and try the seat and tiller. Call ahead so the model is ready to try.

Sporty looks, soft ride. Pride built the Colt Sport 2.0 as a full-size 8 mph scooter for people who travel properly by road and pavement, and gave it more cushioning than most scooters of its size.

Controls within reach
The DX delta tiller tilts towards you, so the handlebar comes to your hands instead of making you lean forward. The wraparound bar can be worked with either hand, and the control panel is laid out plainly so nothing takes long to learn.

Faster than 4 mph
Using the Colt Sport 2.0 on the road
Anything that goes above 4 mph is a class 3 vehicle. You do not need a driving licence, and there is no vehicle tax to pay. The rules are short:
- It must be registered with the DVLA. Registration is free, and we complete it for you when you buy.
- You must be 14 or over to drive it.
- Keep to 4 mph on pavements and in pedestrian areas. The higher speed is for the road only.
- Not on motorways, in bus lanes or in cycle lanes, and avoid dual carriageways with a limit over 50 mph.
- Insurance is not a legal requirement, but it is strongly recommended.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No driving licence and no vehicle tax. Because it goes faster than 4 mph it must be registered with the DVLA, which is free, and we complete that for you when you buy. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
