Will the mLite suit you?
The mLite is for people who want a scooter that goes wherever they go: in the car boot, to the supermarket, away on holiday. It weighs just 17.8 kg in total, folds in seconds and can be wheeled behind you like a suitcase. It stores standing up or lying flat and carries riders up to 18 stone. The lithium battery weighs under 2 kg, so you can lift it out to charge indoors. Many airlines accept a battery this size, but check with yours before booking.
Bring your car to the showroom and we will fold the mLite and check it fits your boot before you decide. You can practise the fold yourself. Call ahead so one is ready to try.

The mLite in detail
Light enough to lift, small enough to take along. Motion's mLite is a manual folding scooter weighing 17.8 kg complete, made for shopping trips, holidays and hopping in and out of the car.

Folding and storing
Folded down, the mLite slips into most car boots. At home it can be kept upright or laid flat, so it tucks into whatever space you have. For all its small size, Motion has given it a strong motor.
Two ways to charge
Lift out the battery box and charge it indoors while the scooter stays packed away, or connect the charger to the scooter itself. Either way, there is nothing heavy to carry.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No. A 4 mph pavement scooter needs no licence, no tax and no registration. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
