Will the Darwen suit you?
The Darwen is ScootaMart's own single motor riser recliner, a straightforward chair with a two-button handset. One OKIN motor moves the back and footrest together and then lifts you towards standing, so there is very little to learn. With a 25 stone weight limit and nine colours, in fabrics from soft suedette to leather, it suits most people and most rooms.
Its seat is 50 cm wide and sits 43 cm from the floor, so try the seat height for yourself. Visit a showroom, test the depth and the handset, and we will help with sizing. Give us a ring first and we will have one ready.

The Darwen in detail
Simple to use and strongly built. The Darwen carries the ScootaMart name and does the essentials well: it reclines, it rises, and it does both quietly from a two-button handset.

Measure up first
You sit 43 cm off the floor on a seat 50 cm wide and 51 cm deep, with a tall 71 cm backrest behind you. The chair is 72 cm wide and 109 cm high, and weighs 62 kg. Keep it at least 26 inches out from the wall so it has room to recline.
Fabric
Finishes run from a soft suedette to leather, with a clean, modern outline that sits well in most living rooms.

The 12-month warranty is handled by our own engineers, who also service and repair riser recliners.
