Rear-wheel drive makes the Q500 R feel natural from the first minute. With the drive wheels behind you, it is easy and intuitive to steer, and the compact chassis gives a tight turning circle for rooms and corridors. Outdoors it reaches 8 mph and covers up to 24 miles a charge. The Sedeo Pro seat is made to order, with options such as a power elevating leg rest and flip-back armrests.
As a made-to-measure chair, it begins with an assessment at one of our showrooms, where seating and controls are worked out around the person. Call ahead so a suitable chair is ready to try.

The Q500 that drives the way you expect. Quickie's Q500 R puts its drive wheels at the back, which gives a familiar, predictable feel through the joystick, and mounts them on a compact chassis that is happy indoors.

The seating is built for each rider. Sedeo Pro is highly adjustable and can include an anti-shear backrest, a power elevating leg rest, positioning elements, a flexible cushion for the back and armrests that flip back out of the way for transfers. Quickie's advanced controls complete the picture.
Trying it for yourself
Drive layout is a personal choice, and rear-wheel drive suits riders who like a chair that tracks straight and responds predictably. A free assessment at one of our North West showrooms lets you try it indoors, and we set the seat and controls around you. The 12-month warranty is looked after by our own engineers.

Faster than 4 mph
Using the Q500 R Sedeo Pro on the road
Anything that goes above 4 mph is a class 3 vehicle. You do not need a driving licence, and there is no vehicle tax to pay. The rules are short:
- It must be registered with the DVLA. Registration is free, and we complete it for you when you buy.
- You must be 14 or over to drive it.
- Keep to 4 mph on pavements and in pedestrian areas. The higher speed is for the road only.
- Not on motorways, in bus lanes or in cycle lanes, and avoid dual carriageways with a limit over 50 mph.
- Insurance is not a legal requirement, but it is strongly recommended.

Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
