Front-wheel drive gives the Q500 F its character. With the drive wheels leading, it is a strong outdoor performer and especially steady on steep descents, while still handling well inside the home. It reaches 8 mph and covers up to 24 miles on two 80 Ah batteries, so hilly routes and longer outings are within reach. The Sedeo Pro seat and the controls are specified for the individual rider.

Sedeo Pro seating and controls
The Q500 F carries Sedeo Pro seating, which Quickie designs to be customised in detail, along with a choice from its most advanced control systems. Both are specified for the person, not taken from stock, so the chair supports you properly and responds the way you want it to.
Choosing between drive types
Front, mid and rear-wheel drive chairs each feel different to steer. The simplest way to decide is to try them. At our North West showrooms a free assessment covers seating, controls and drive layout, and our own engineers are on hand afterwards for servicing at the showroom or at home.

Faster than 4 mph
Using the Q500 F Sedeo Pro on the road
Anything that goes above 4 mph is a class 3 vehicle. You do not need a driving licence, and there is no vehicle tax to pay. The rules are short:
- It must be registered with the DVLA. Registration is free, and we complete it for you when you buy.
- You must be 14 or over to drive it.
- Keep to 4 mph on pavements and in pedestrian areas. The higher speed is for the road only.
- Not on motorways, in bus lanes or in cycle lanes, and avoid dual carriageways with a limit over 50 mph.
- Insurance is not a legal requirement, but it is strongly recommended.

Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
