Will the Storm 4 Max suit you?
The Storm 4 Max is a rear-wheel drive powerchair made for larger riders. Invacare lengthened the chassis so body weight sits where the chair is most stable, and strengthened the armrests and legrest so you can push against them to shift position. It travels at up to 4 mph, which suits pavements and shopping centres, and covers up to 19 miles per charge. Powered tilt and recline can be added for comfort through the day.
As a prescription chair it begins with an assessment at one of our showrooms, where we measure seat depth and width and choose the controls with you. Call ahead so the right chair is ready to try.

The Storm 4 Max in detail
Room, strength and stability for a bigger build. Invacare gave the Storm 4 Max a longer chassis than its Storm 4 stablemates, so the rider's weight is spread properly across the wheels and the chair still moves briskly.

Seating and positioning
Seat depth moves through three steps marked on the frame, with an optional adapter to shorten it further. The armrests mount in several positions and adjust in width, and calf pads support the legs. Powered tilt and recline are available, with a backrest that reclines from 0 to 25 degrees around a high pivot point so it moves with you.
Controls and care
LiNX controls give precise, predictable steering, and an optional G-Trac system adds traction control. There is a choice of frame colours. Batteries and electronics are easy to reach, which helps our engineers when the chair comes in for a service. Everything is specified at your assessment in one of our North West showrooms.

Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
