Drive's Autofold is a powerchair that folds and unfolds itself in seconds, using the remote or the button fitted to the chair itself. It packs down small enough for a car boot, or train or coach luggage space. For air travel, speak to your airline first. The aluminium frame weighs 28 kg without batteries, front suspension softens the bumps and a bag under the seat keeps essentials close. It travels at 4 mph for up to 8 miles per charge.

Powered folding for a powerchair. Where most folding chairs need a pull and a push from somebody, this one from Drive does the job electrically and packs itself down to a compact size.

Made for getting about
Folded, the Autofold is sized for a car boot or the luggage area on a train or coach. Drive had air travel in mind too, though it is the airline that decides what it will carry, so speak to yours before booking. Because the chair folds itself, the person travelling with you only has to lift it, not work out how it collapses.
A more comfortable ride
Shock-absorbing front suspension takes the edge off kerb ramps and uneven paving, which you notice most at the end of a long day. The modern styling is a bonus.

Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
