Made from carbon fibre, the AirFold is a folding powerchair that weighs 17.6 kg with its batteries, so lifting it into a boot by its handle is manageable. It folds in one quick movement, travels in its own carry bag, and its lithium batteries suit many airlines, though check with your airline first. Use it indoors and out. It covers up to 9.3 miles per charge at 4 mph, with an 18 stone rider limit.

The AirFold Powerchair in detail
Carbon fibre keeps the weight right down. Drive's AirFold is a slim folding powerchair at 17.6 kg including batteries (15.85 kg without), made for people who travel and want their chair to come along.

Comfort day to day
The armrests flip up, which helps with sideways transfers and lets you pull in close to a table. The seat cushion comes off for washing, the backrest is ventilated and a lap belt is fitted. The joystick shows your speed setting and battery level, and there is a USB port for a phone and a storage pocket under the seat. Rear leg straps can be added on request.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
