Will the eMove 6 suit you?
The eMove 6 suits someone who wants a comfortable everyday scooter that can still come along in the car. Suspension and air-filled tyres take the sting out of dropped kerbs and patched paving, and the high-backed seat turns to the side, which makes getting on and off simpler. It splits into lighter sections for the boot. Charging is done through a socket on the scooter, so you plug it in wherever it is parked.

The eMove 6 in detail
Comfort first, and car-friendly too. Motion's eMove 6 belongs to the maker's Essentials range: a sturdy, no-nonsense scooter with proper suspension, air-filled tyres and a seat you could happily sit in all afternoon. When the trip is further afield, it separates into lighter sections that travel in the car.

Seat and ride
The seat is what most people notice first. Its tall back gives support across the shoulders, and because it swivels you can turn to face a table or step off without twisting. Underneath, the suspension and air tyres do the hard work on rough ground.
Charging and care
There is no need to lift the batteries out to charge them. Plug in where the scooter is kept and leave it to it. Every eMove 6 we supply carries a 12-month warranty looked after by our own engineers, and staff at our North West showrooms will show you how it comes apart.

Faster than 4 mph
Using the eMove 6 on the road
Anything that goes above 4 mph is a class 3 vehicle. You do not need a driving licence, and there is no vehicle tax to pay. The rules are short:
- It must be registered with the DVLA. Registration is free, and we complete it for you when you buy.
- You must be 14 or over to drive it.
- Keep to 4 mph on pavements and in pedestrian areas. The higher speed is for the road only.
- Not on motorways, in bus lanes or in cycle lanes, and avoid dual carriageways with a limit over 50 mph.
- Insurance is not a legal requirement, but it is strongly recommended.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No driving licence and no vehicle tax. Because it goes faster than 4 mph it must be registered with the DVLA, which is free, and we complete that for you when you buy. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
Can I get it on the Motability Scheme?
Yes, this model is available through the Scheme. If you receive a qualifying mobility allowance you can use it to lease this instead of buying, with insurance, servicing and breakdown cover included. Sign up in any showroom or call us.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
