The TDX SP2 Ultra Low Maxx suits someone who spends much of the day in their chair and likes to change position often. The powered seat tilts up to 50 degrees and reclines to 170, and it sits very low to the floor, which helps at tables and desks. Centre-wheel drive lets it turn on the spot indoors, while 8 mph and up to 19 miles a charge cover longer days out.

A powerchair designed around positioning. Invacare's TDX SP2 Ultra Low Maxx puts a powered tilt and recline seat on a compact centre-wheel drive base, all from an unusually low seat height.

Seating set up for one person
Modulite seating adjusts to suit a wide variety of body shapes. Headrests, supports and hand controls are designed to keep doing their job whichever position the seat is in, from upright to fully reclined.
Controls to suit the rider
The REM400 remote has a 3.5 inch colour touchscreen and built-in Bluetooth that links to three devices at once, and it can move a computer mouse pointer. Other options include a compact remote with an LED display for riders with less reach, a chin-operated joystick and the lighter-touch MEC joystick. LiNX electronics let the drive be fine-tuned wirelessly, which we do during a free assessment at our North West showrooms.

Faster than 4 mph
Using the TDX SP2 Ultra Low Maxx on the road
Anything that goes above 4 mph is a class 3 vehicle. You do not need a driving licence, and there is no vehicle tax to pay. The rules are short:
- It must be registered with the DVLA. Registration is free, and we complete it for you when you buy.
- You must be 14 or over to drive it.
- Keep to 4 mph on pavements and in pedestrian areas. The higher speed is for the road only.
- Not on motorways, in bus lanes or in cycle lanes, and avoid dual carriageways with a limit over 50 mph.
- Insurance is not a legal requirement, but it is strongly recommended.

Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
