Q500 M Sedeo Pro

Priced after an assessment

This chair is built around the person using it, so the price depends on the seating and controls chosen. The base model starts at £6,345.00. It cannot be ordered online.

Start with a free assessment

We look at seating, controls and how the chair will be used, then build the specification around that.

Just walk in, or call first and we will have this model ready. 9 North West showrooms, open Monday to Saturday.

Your 12-month warranty

Every new product comes with a 12-month warranty, in addition to your legal rights.

  • If something goes wrong, call us first on 0800 169 1910 and we will advise on the quickest fix.
  • We collect, repair and return it free of charge anywhere in mainland UK. We aim to collect within 7 days.
  • Repair or replacement, whichever puts it right.

Not covered: misuse, accidental damage, water getting in, or repairs attempted by anyone else (a £79 call-out applies to non-warranty visits). A few remote postcodes carry a £79 collection surcharge. The warranty stays with the original buyer.

Servicing and repairs

Our own qualified engineers look after what we sell. We recommend a service once a year to catch problems early and keep it running well.

  • At a showroom: drop it in for a full service or a quick check. Collect it when it is ready, or we can bring it back to you.
  • At your home: an engineer comes to you, so you are never without it.

Who qualifies for VAT relief?

You pay the lower price if both of these are true:

  • the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability, and
  • it is for their own personal or domestic use.

That covers a lasting physical or mental condition that affects everyday life, a condition doctors treat as chronic (such as diabetes or arthritis), or a terminal illness. You do not need to be registered disabled and you do not need a doctor's letter. Being older, or a short-term injury, does not count on its own.

What you do: nothing now. In your cart we ask once, and you complete a short declaration. A family member or carer can do it on someone's behalf.

Not sure? Call 0800 169 1910 and we will talk it through.

Getting this on the Motability Scheme

If you receive a qualifying mobility allowance, you can swap all or part of it to lease a brand-new scooter or powerchair instead of buying one.

Every lease includes insurance, servicing and maintenance, and full breakdown cover.

Qualifying allowances:

  • Enhanced rate mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Enhanced rate mobility component of Adult Disability Payment, or higher rate of Child Disability Payment
  • War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement, or Armed Forces Independence Payment

How to join: sign up in any of our showrooms, or call to book a free home demonstration if you live in the North West.

Advice from the showroom floor

Will the Q500 M Sedeo Pro suit you?

The Q500 M is a made-to-measure powerchair for someone who wants to go further than the end of the road. Mid-wheel drive turns on the spot indoors, while the updated suspension, 8 mph top speed and up to 24 miles from two 80 Ah batteries make longer outdoor trips realistic. Sedeo Pro seating is configured to the individual, and the controls are chosen to suit how you drive.

It all starts with an assessment at one of our showrooms, where we plan seating and controls around the person. Call ahead so a chair is ready to try.

  • TOP SPEED8 mph

The Q500 M Sedeo Pro in detail

One chair for the kitchen and the country park. Quickie's Q500 M balances tight indoor turning with real outdoor ability, and carries Sedeo Pro seating that is configured for each rider.

What you get

  • Mid-wheel drive that turns a full circle within its own footprint
  • Updated suspension with a firmer, more responsive and more comfortable feel
  • Up to 24 miles per charge from two 80 Ah batteries
  • Top speed of 8 mph
  • Puncture-proof tyres all round
  • Lap belt supplied

Sedeo Pro seating

Sedeo Pro is a highly customisable seating system, so the chair is specified around the person who will use it. Paired with Quickie's most advanced controls, it means the finished chair reflects how you sit, how you steer and where you spend your time.

How we set it up

A chair at this level is never picked from a shelf. At our North West showrooms we begin with a free assessment, talk through your daily routine, and try the drive indoors so you can feel how the mid-wheel base turns. Our own engineers then look after the 12-month warranty.

Supplied with it

  • Q500 M Sedeo Pro powerchair
  • Two 80 Ah batteries
  • Charger
  • Manual

Range and speed vary with rider weight, terrain, temperature and battery condition.

Faster than 4 mph

Using the Q500 M Sedeo Pro on the road

Anything that goes above 4 mph is a class 3 vehicle. You do not need a driving licence, and there is no vehicle tax to pay. The rules are short:

  • It must be registered with the DVLA. Registration is free, and we complete it for you when you buy.
  • You must be 14 or over to drive it.
  • Keep to 4 mph on pavements and in pedestrian areas. The higher speed is for the road only.
  • Not on motorways, in bus lanes or in cycle lanes, and avoid dual carriageways with a limit over 50 mph.
  • Insurance is not a legal requirement, but it is strongly recommended.
