Will the Quickie Q50R suit you?
The Quickie Q50R is a folding powerchair that goes as far as many scooters: up to 50 km (about 31 miles) from its lithium battery. It folds in one motion to suitcase size with the battery left in, and stands upright on its anti-tip wheels. At 37.5 kg with the battery (32 kg without) it suits a hoist or a two-person lift. Rear-wheel drive and dual suspension give grip and comfort outdoors. The rider limit is 21 stone.

How the fold works
Release the rear clip, raise the footplate, then press the backrest down. The chair drops flat and ends up roughly suitcase sized. Rear anti-tip wheels let you stand it on end and roll it, and it tucks under the stairs, into a hotel room or into most car and taxi boots. It can charge while folded, using the charging socket on its controller.
Lifting it into the car
The Q50R weighs 37.5 kg with its battery, which suits a boot hoist or two people lifting. Take the battery out and that comes down to 32 kg.

Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
