Will the Elite Traveller Plus suit you?
When the smallest boot scooters feel a little snug, this is the steadier, roomier step up. It still comes apart for the car, with no piece heavier than 16 kg, yet it carries riders up to 23 stone and can cover up to 15 miles on a charge, enough for a long day out. The seat turns right round and the armrests fold up, so getting on and off is simpler. The battery box lifts off to charge indoors.

The Elite Traveller Plus in detail
One of the boot scooters we are asked for most. Pride built the Elite Traveller Plus a size up from the standard GoGo, so it feels planted outdoors and suits a wider mix of riders, while still splitting down for the car.

Taking it apart
Pull one lever at the back and the frame separates. There are no cables to unplug, because the electrical connections join themselves when the halves meet, and the long-range battery pack simply lifts away.
Charging and fit
Carry the battery box indoors to charge while the scooter itself stays in the car. The tiller moves up, down and to the angle you like, and the seat adjusts too. Our North West showroom staff will set it up with you, and servicing and repairs are available at a showroom or at home.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No. A 4 mph pavement scooter needs no licence, no tax and no registration. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
Can I get it on the Motability Scheme?
Yes, this model is available through the Scheme. If you receive a qualifying mobility allowance you can use it to lease this instead of buying, with insurance, servicing and breakdown cover included. Sign up in any showroom or call us.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
