Will the Edge 3 Stretto suit you?
The Edge 3 Stretto is Pride's narrow mid-wheel drive powerchair, made for riders who want full prescription seating in a chair that still threads through the house. The drive wheels sit centrally, so it turns on the spot, and Smooth Ride Suspension softens paving and thresholds outside. It travels at up to 6.25 mph with up to 30 miles per charge. An optional iLevel seat raises you by up to 12 inches.
It begins with an assessment at one of our showrooms, where seating, drive wheel size and controls are chosen around you. Call ahead so a chair is ready to try.

The Edge 3 Stretto in detail
Slim through the doorway, long-legged outdoors. Pride designed the Edge 3 Stretto around a narrow base, then added the suspension and battery capacity for proper days out.

A seat that rises with you
The optional iLevel system raises the seat by up to 12 inches under power. Shop counters, cupboards and eye-level conversation all come within reach, and it is one of the options we talk through at your assessment.

The Stretto is a prescription powerchair, so nothing about it is off the shelf. At one of our North West showrooms we measure up, agree the seating and drive wheel size, and set the controls to suit. Once the chair is yours, our own engineers look after servicing and repairs, at a showroom or at home.

Faster than 4 mph
Using the Edge 3 Stretto on the road
Anything that goes above 4 mph is a class 3 vehicle. You do not need a driving licence, and there is no vehicle tax to pay. The rules are short:
- It must be registered with the DVLA. Registration is free, and we complete it for you when you buy.
- You must be 14 or over to drive it.
- Keep to 4 mph on pavements and in pedestrian areas. The higher speed is for the road only.
- Not on motorways, in bus lanes or in cycle lanes, and avoid dual carriageways with a limit over 50 mph.
- Insurance is not a legal requirement, but it is strongly recommended.

Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
