Will the Colt Deluxe 2.0 suit you?
The Colt Deluxe 2.0 fits someone who wants to use quiet roads as well as pavements but would rather not have a very large scooter. It is compact for a 6 mph model, rides on front and rear suspension, and has a tall-backed captain seat. It takes riders of up to 28 stone, with a range of up to 21 miles. It also comes apart for storage or transport.
It is road legal, and we take care of the DVLA registration for you. Call ahead so one is ready to try at our North West showrooms.

The Colt Deluxe 2.0 in detail
Compact, 6 mph and road legal. Pride's Colt Deluxe 2.0 sits neatly between a pavement scooter and the big 8 mph machines. It has the lights and mirror the road calls for, a strong frame, and a body small enough to feel at home outside the shops.

Seen and understood on the road
LED lights are fitted front and rear, with brake lights that come on automatically as you slow down and a kerb light low at the front. Indicators show which way you are turning, hazard lights are there if you ever need to stop, and a wing mirror covers what is behind you.
Easy steering
The delta tiller is a wraparound bar, so you can hold it wherever is comfortable and rest your wrists while you drive. Our showroom staff will set the tiller angle and seat to suit you and explain the road controls before a test drive. Your 12-month warranty is looked after by ScootaMart's own engineers.

Faster than 4 mph
Using the Colt Deluxe 2.0 on the road
Anything that goes above 4 mph is a class 3 vehicle. You do not need a driving licence, and there is no vehicle tax to pay. The rules are short:
- It must be registered with the DVLA. Registration is free, and we complete it for you when you buy.
- You must be 14 or over to drive it.
- Keep to 4 mph on pavements and in pedestrian areas. The higher speed is for the road only.
- Not on motorways, in bus lanes or in cycle lanes, and avoid dual carriageways with a limit over 50 mph.
- Insurance is not a legal requirement, but it is strongly recommended.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No driving licence and no vehicle tax. Because it goes faster than 4 mph it must be registered with the DVLA, which is free, and we complete that for you when you buy. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
Can I get it on the Motability Scheme?
Yes, this model is available through the Scheme. If you receive a qualifying mobility allowance you can use it to lease this instead of buying, with insurance, servicing and breakdown cover included. Sign up in any showroom or call us.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
