Will the Komfy 4 suit you?
The Komfy 4 suits a rider who spends a good while in the seat. The captain seat reclines and swivels right round, the suspension can be adjusted, and air-filled tyres take the edge off kerbs and cobbles. It keeps to a steady 4 mph on the pavement, takes riders of up to 25 stone. It can cover up to 25 miles between charges. It stays in one piece, so it lives in a hallway, garage or shed.

The Komfy 4 in detail
Built around the seat. Kymco's Komfy 4 is a full-size pavement scooter for riders who put comfort at the top of the list. It travels at up to 4 mph, so it needs no registration, and it has the range and carrying capacity of a much faster machine.

Controls that are easy on the hands
The switches are large and sensibly placed, and the display is clear enough to read at a glance. If small, fiddly buttons have put you off other scooters, this is one to try. Our staff will adjust the seat, armrests and tiller to fit you before you set off round the showroom.
Ready for a British winter
Splash guards over the rear wheels keep spray off you and the scooter when the pavements are wet. When it needs attention, servicing and repairs are carried out by our own engineers, at a showroom or at your home.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No. A 4 mph pavement scooter needs no licence, no tax and no registration. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
Can I get it on the Motability Scheme?
Yes, this model is available through the Scheme. If you receive a qualifying mobility allowance you can use it to lease this instead of buying, with insurance, servicing and breakdown cover included. Sign up in any showroom or call us.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
