Advice from the showroom floor
Will the K-Lite Comfort suit you?
Pick the K-Lite Comfort if you want a light car-boot scooter with a softer ride than most. Kymco has fitted suspension all round, which is unusual on a scooter this small. No tools are needed to split it down, the heaviest section is 15 kg, and a charge can take you up to 10 miles. The battery lifts out to charge indoors while the scooter waits in the car.
Bring your car to a showroom and we will check it fits your boot before you buy. Call ahead so a K-Lite Comfort is ready to try.

The K-Lite Comfort in detail
Suspension at every corner, on a scooter you can lift. Kymco updated its compact K-Lite with a full comfort suspension set-up, the kind normally kept for much bigger scooters, and the name followed. Top speed is 4 mph, and it is small enough to thread through shop aisles.
What you get
- All-round suspension for a softer ride on broken pavements
- Tool-free take-apart design for most car boots
- Heaviest part 15 kg, which is the front section
- Up to 10 miles of range
- Off-board charging, so the scooter can stay in the car
- Basket included, and a choice of four colours
Little to look after
The tyres are solid, so there is nothing to pump up and nothing to puncture. The ignition and the horn button are both waterproof, which keeps the tiller electrics protected if a shower catches you between shops.
Weekends away and busy days
Because it breaks down quickly and the parts are light, the K-Lite Comfort is an easy scooter to take along, whether that is a day at the coast or a trip to see family. In our North West showrooms you can practise taking it apart and lifting each section before you commit. Our own engineers handle servicing and repairs afterwards, at a showroom or at home.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No. A 4 mph pavement scooter needs no licence, no tax and no registration. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
Can I get it on the Motability Scheme?
Yes, this model is available through the Scheme. If you receive a qualifying mobility allowance you can use it to lease this instead of buying, with insurance, servicing and breakdown cover included. Sign up in any showroom or call us.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
