Advice from the showroom floor
Will the TDX SP2 NB suit you?
The TDX SP2 NB suits someone who needs a made-to-measure powerchair that still slips through ordinary doorways. Its drive wheels sit in the centre, so it turns on the spot, handy in kitchens and lifts. Outdoors it reaches 6 mph and covers up to 16 miles between charges. The tyres cannot puncture, and the LiNX controls adapt to the way you drive.
Every chair is built around the person, so the first step is an assessment at one of our showrooms, where we look at seating and the right style of control. Call ahead so a chair is ready to try.

The TDX SP2 NB in detail
A slim chassis carrying a full clinical specification. Invacare built the TDX SP2 NB for people who want properly supportive seating on a base narrow enough for the home. Both drive wheels sit under the middle of the chair, so it pivots where it stands.
What you get
- Centre-wheel drive that spins through a complete 360 degrees
- Up to 16 miles between charges from two 50 Ah batteries
- A top speed of 6 mph for outdoor journeys
- Puncture-proof tyres on every wheel
- A lap belt supplied with the chair
Controls that fit the driver
LiNX electronics learn how you steer and adjust the motors to match, so the chair responds the same way on carpet, tarmac or a slope. The REM400 remote has a 3.5 inch colour touchscreen that needs only a light touch, and its Bluetooth links to three devices at once, even moving a mouse pointer on a computer. Other choices include a compact remote with an LED display, a head array with proximity sensors, and an attendant control for a carer.
Set up in person
LiNX settings are changed wirelessly, so fine-tuning happens while you are sitting in the chair. Seating and controls are agreed at your assessment in one of our North West showrooms, and our own engineers look after servicing afterwards.
