The MobiFree suits active people who want a scooter that opens and closes by hand in about five seconds. It weighs 19 kg without its battery, packs down small enough for a car boot, and is a natural fit for shopping trips and days out. Top speed is 4 mph, so it is at home on pavements and in shopping centres, and the 10 Ah battery gives up to 9 miles between charges.

Why a manual fold
Folding by hand means there is no folding motor or remote control to think about. One movement collapses the scooter and another opens it again, which is handy at the car, in a hallway or outside a café. The whole design is about being easy to use.
Everyday use
The MobiFree is aimed at people who get out often: shopping, visiting, short trips around town. Its compact shape makes it easy to store at home as well. The quickest way to judge it is to fold one yourself, which you can do in our showrooms around the North West. If you are replacing an older scooter, ask about part exchange.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No. A 4 mph pavement scooter needs no licence, no tax and no registration. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
