Will the Smarti Plus suit you?
The Smarti Plus takes Monarch's self-folding scooter and adds the comforts people ask for: a deluxe seat with extra support, a headlight, a digital display and a USB point for your phone. It still folds when you press a button to go in the boot or away on holiday. Rear suspension and electro-magnetic brakes make for a calm ride at up to 4 mph, and the 10 Ah lithium battery covers up to 9 miles, a good day around town.

Comfort
The seat is where the Plus earns its name. It is shaped to give support where you want it, and together with the rear suspension it makes longer outings more comfortable.
Folding and remote control
One press and the scooter folds itself down to boot size, ready for the car or a trip overseas. The remote control has a longer life and range than the earlier model, and the chassis has been improved to resist the weather.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No. A 4 mph pavement scooter needs no licence, no tax and no registration. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
