The Excel 9.9 Transit is a good match for couples and families who want a proper everyday wheelchair that also travels well. It weighs 9.9 kg, has a 45 cm seat and carries up to 15 stone. The pusher gets height-adjustable handles, and the passenger gets a shaped seat and a tension-adjustable backrest.

The Excel 9.9 Transit in detail
At 9.9 kg, this aluminium transit chair takes its name from its weight. VanOs designed the Excel 9.9 for travel, then gave it the adjustments you would expect on a full-time wheelchair, so it is equally at home on holiday and on a trip to the shops.

Folding and transport
The frame folds sideways and the backrest folds down. The footrests swing in or out of the way and can be taken off completely. Open, the chair is 59 cm wide and 93 cm long, which is slim enough for most doorways and shop aisles.
Comfort for two
Setting the handles to the pusher's height makes longer walks more comfortable for them, while the tensionable back lets the passenger choose a firmer or softer feel.
