Will the Rascal Vippi suit you?
The Rascal Vippi is a small, cheerful boot scooter for shopping trips, days out and holidays by car. It comes apart into five parts, and the heaviest weighs 15.4 kg, about the same as a packed holiday suitcase. It has suspension and a swivel seat, covers up to 11 miles per charge, and the battery box lifts out to charge in the house while the scooter stays in the boot or the shed.
Car boots vary a lot, so bring the car to your nearest ScootaMart showroom and we will check the Vippi fits before you buy. You can practise taking it apart too. Call ahead so the model is ready to try.

Small, bright and quick to pack away. Electric Mobility designed the Rascal Vippi for spur-of-the-moment trips. It splits into five parts for the car, then goes back together when you arrive.

Charge it where it suits you
Once the scooter is apart, the battery box lifts away and can come indoors to charge. That means the rest of the Vippi can stay locked away outside, or sit in the car boot ready for tomorrow.
See it come apart
Taking a scooter to pieces is easier to judge in person than on a screen. At our showrooms you can work the release mechanism, lift the parts yourself and have a ride before deciding. The 12-month warranty is looked after by ScootaMart engineers.

Questions people ask us in the shop
Will it fit in my car?
Bring the car to any showroom and we will try it in the boot with you. We take it apart or fold it together, so you can see how it goes in and feel what each piece weighs before you decide.
Do I need a licence, tax or insurance?
No. A 4 mph pavement scooter needs no licence, no tax and no registration. Insurance is not a legal requirement, but we strongly recommend it.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Just walk in to any of our 9 North West showrooms, or call first and we will have this model ready for you. If you cannot get to us and you live in the North West, we will bring it to your home for a free demonstration.
What happens if it breaks down?
It comes with a 12-month warranty, looked after by our own engineers. For a warranty repair we collect it and bring it back free of charge across mainland UK. After that, we service and repair at any showroom or at your home.
Can I part exchange my old one?
Yes. Bring your old scooter or powerchair to any showroom and we will value it there and then, with up to £400 off your new one. We can also give a price by phone, confirmed when we see it.
Do I have to pay VAT?
Not if the person it is for has a long-term illness or disability and it is for their own personal use. The price shown already has VAT relief applied. You confirm that you qualify once, with a short declaration in your cart. There is nothing to send to HMRC.
How will it be delivered?
Most people choose engineer delivery for £79: it arrives inspected and assembled, with a full demonstration, and we take the packaging away. Free courier delivery to the kerbside is also available.
